Our partnership with Green Camel Organic Produce began in March 2019 after a recommendation from another business partner.
Green Camel grows certified organic truss tomatoes, snacking tomatoes and baby cucumbers, as well as premium barramundi. Today, the partnership has grown considerably with pick-ups from our facilities in Cobbitty NSW six days a week. Pick-ups are done by refrigerated transport for all produce lines.
“Primary Connect not only meets the needs of our transport requirements for our business but also provides logistical and business assistance to ensure the smooth delivery of our products within specification and on time,” Daniel Mitsos, Green Camel’s Packhouse Manager, said.
“The team also always goes above and beyond, and any issues or challenges are dealt with promptly.”
One of the secrets to Green Camel’s success is its 2.5ha organic glasshouse growing area at Cobbitty which can produce 1,200 tonnes of organic truss tomatoes and 200 tonnes of organic cucumbers per annum. Its aquaculture system can produce up to 50 tonnes of premium barramundi per annum.
Green Camel has been an Organically Certified Operator since 2015 through Australia Certified Organic. A variety of soil-based organic crops are grown at the Cobbitty site. A fundamental part of the organic growing process is the absence of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides.
